Razer has released the gaming laptop Blade 18, equipped with powerful mobile processor and video card: Intel Core 9-14900HX and NVIDIA RTX 4090. Their performance in games can be evaluated on an 18" UHD+ display with a refresh rate of 200 Hz. The company claims that Razer Blade 18 is the world's first laptop to receive Thunderbolt 5 data transmission interface. The only downside may be its price, the laptop costs $4799.

The configuration of Razer Blade 18 supports a choice between two unlocked mobile processors: Core i9-13950HX (up to 5.5 GHz) and Core i9-14900HX (up to 5.8 GHz). Several video card options are available: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, 4070, 4080, and 4090 (from 6 GB to 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory and from 3072 to 9728 CUDA cores).

Razer Blade 18 offers three screen options: a 2560 x 1600 pixel (QHD+) display, which operates at a frequency of up to 240 Hz. The QHD+ option uses Mini-LED technology and refreshes at a rate of up to 300 Hz. The most expensive option is a 3840 x 2400 pixel (UHD+) panel, which can operate at a frequency of up to 200 Hz.

Another distinctive feature of Blade 18 is Thunderbolt 5 support. Razer says that the "connection of the future" can offer bandwidth of up to 120 Gbps for connecting multiple high-resolution displays and fast data transfer. However, it is important to carefully check the configuration: Blade 18 with RTX 4070 or lower video card has Thunderbolt 4.

Available are 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM with upgrade potential up to 96 GB. An M.2 solid-state drive up to 2 TB is installed, with one free slot. The user can install up to 8 TB with the help of two solid-state drives of 4 TB each.

Razer Blade 18 also features a cooling system with a large vapor chamber, ultra-compact GAN charger, XL glass touchpad, and Razer Chroma RGB lighting. The laptop is 21.9 mm thick and weighs up to 3.1 kg. The most affordable configuration with 13th generation Intel processor starts from $2699, models with 14th generation chip range from $3099 to $4799, but still offer the possibility of expanding RAM and storage.
