The developers of the large mod Fallout: London announced its release today, July 25th. You can find the Fallout 4 modification in the GOG game store — for free.
The development team mentioned that Fallout: London will be launched today "unless there is a nuclear war." While "war never changes," this seems unlikely. Thus, after many years of anticipation and a few recent delays (especially due to the next-generation update for Fallout 4), the Fallout: London mod is about to be available for download.
This extensive mod, which essentially functions as a standalone game, comes with a few caveats. First, players will need to revert to the previous version of Fallout 4 before the Next-Gen update. However, there’s no need to worry — the mod will handle this automatically. Additionally, 65 GB of free space will be required, which includes the base game, Fallout 4.
Nearly ten years after the original's release, Fallout: London offers one of the most extensive reimaginings of the game universe. The mod is exclusively in English but is fully voiced by actors. It features a vast open-world map set in London, new factions, and an engaging storyline. The developers promise:
- 200 quests to alter the future of London
- 20 factions fighting for power
- 7 companions worth taking on your journey
- 15 districts created from scratch
- An expanded dialogue system
The mod will only be available for PC players, but there are rumors about a future port to Xbox. Downloading from GOG is currently unavailable, but it won't be for long.
