The latest installment of the popular Assassin's Creed series is set to launch on February 14, 2025.
Developers announced this decision via their social media channels. Ubisoft explained that the delay is necessary to allow for additional time to refine the game. The company is "committed to delivering the highest quality product before its release."
Ubisoft is offering refunds for pre-orders. Furthermore, the company is providing a bonus: anyone who pre-orders in the future will receive the first expansion for the game free of charge.

Recently, Ubisoft also canceled its participation in the Tokyo Game Show 2024. The Japanese division of the company cited "various circumstances" for this decision and apologized to fans for the brief announcement.
“We have canceled our online presentation at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, which was scheduled to begin on September 26 at 3 PM. We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to it,” noted representatives of Ubisoft Japan on social media platform X.
Ubisoft will release Assassin's Creed Shadows simultaneously across all platforms, including Steam, and will forgo a seasonal pass.
