And then he will sue his mirror for showing "git gud."

A player of the popular video game Elden Ring has filed a lawsuit against the developer FromSoftware, accusing the company of excessive difficulty in the game. He argues that additional content is hidden in Elden Ring, inaccessible even to the most devoted fans due to an "insurmountable barrier of difficulty."

Twitter user Airbagged shared screenshots from a 4Chan forum, where he outlined his grievances in detail. He believes that average gamers can only access half of the content in FromSoftware's games because of their extreme complexity. The plaintiff is convinced that each game by the studio hides a "completely separate game."

As an example, the player cites Sekiro and Bloodborne. He feels that these titles were advertised differently than they appear in the final version. The plaintiff announced that a court session will take place on September 25, involving the game's publisher, Bandai Namco.

The gaming community reacted to this news with irony. Users left humorous comments under the post. For instance, one player named KarlGerm wrote that if you delve deep enough into an Elden Ring cave, you might exit in Sonic Adventure Battle 2.

It should be noted that if the plaintiff is referring to cut content, his claims are unfounded. Video game development is a complex process, during which some created material is often not included in the final version. If there were truly hidden extra content in FromSoftware's games, data miners would have likely discovered it years ago.

FromSoftware is known for creating extremely challenging games, particularly the Dark Souls series. Elden Ring, released in 2022, is also famous for its tough mechanics. A recent expansion titled Shadow of the Erdtree has proven to be even more difficult than the base game. Some players even needed a psychologist to defeat the final boss. Meanwhile, a Twitch streamer managed to conquer two major bosses in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree using sheer mental power—by operating a controller based on EEG technology.
