In Deadlock, you'll be able to turn cheaters into toads and hunt them down

The developers of the game Deadlock have implemented a new system to combat cheaters, which allows them to be transformed into frogs during matches.

Since its launch, Deadlock lacked an effective anti-cheat system, even with the use of VACVAC (Valve Anti-Cheat)—an anti-cheat solution created by Valve Corporation to tackle cheating in video games. It is employed in many Valve games, such as Counter-Strike, Team Fortress 2, and others. This gap has led to an influx of cheaters in the new MOBA game with shooter elements.

The update from September 12 introduced a reporting system, but it did not include options for reporting cheats, focusing only on toxic players.

After several months in early access, Deadlock is now receiving a comprehensive anti-cheat system. Players will have the ability to choose how to punish cheaters. According to the patch notes from September 26, when the system detects a cheater during gameplay, opponents will have two options for action.

Teams will be able to instantly ban the cheater, which will lead to the end of the match. Alternatively, they can turn the cheater into a frog for the remainder of the game.

The cheating player will turn into a tiny frog that can only jump, unable to use abilities or deal damage. Opponents will be able to attack and defeat the frog-cheater, so don't be surprised if you witness a "frog hunt" until the end of the game.

Developers assure that punishing a cheater on your team will not affect your game ranking. Regardless of the chosen punishment option, the game will not count as a defeat, and the cheater will be banned.

The new anti-cheat system will be available in a few days.
