The development team behind the PlayStation 4 emulator named shadPS4 has released the first gameplay footage of the game Bloodborne running on a personal computer.

The video was posted on the project's Discord server and showcases an early version of the emulator that has not yet been released.

Although the developers did not include an FPS counter, the game appears to run smoothly, likely reaching around 30 frames per second. Despite this unexpected performance, the gameplay is hindered by various graphical issues that prevent a fully enjoyable experience of Bloodborne.

In addition to Bloodborne, the shadPS4 emulator also shows promising performance with other titles. For instance, Red Dead Redemption Remastered is already running at a stable 30 frames per second.

ShadPS4 has unexpectedly emerged on the emulation scene, quickly outpacing its competitors. Six other PlayStation 4 emulators (psOff, fpPS4, Spine, RPCSX, Kyty, and GPCS4) are significantly lagging in development. Therefore, if any PS4 emulator is going to allow PC gamers to enjoy Bloodborne one day, it will undoubtedly be shadPS4.

Bloodborne is an action role-playing video game developed by FromSoftware and released exclusively for PlayStation 4 in 2015. The game is known for its dark gothic atmosphere, challenging bosses, and deep lore inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Bloodborne has received acclaim from both critics and players for its unique style, engaging gameplay, and high difficulty level. Despite numerous fan requests, the developers have yet to release an official PC version or an upgrade for PlayStation 5 that would enable the game to run at 60 frames per second.
