The Ukrainian Ministry of Economy is developing a National Cashback program, initiated by Volodymyr Zelensky. It is expected that Ukrainians will be able to receive up to 3,000 UAH monthly compensation for purchasing domestic products.
Ukrainians will be able to join the National Cashback program through the "Diia" app. This was explained by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov. He added that users will be able to check the amount of cashback accrued and paid out within a few clicks via the app, and then spend it on specific services.
For example, cashback can be used to pay for utilities, medical services, or mobile communications, settle bills at restaurants, donate to the army, and purchase military bonds. It can also be spent on transportation, sports, cinema, and similar activities.
At the same time, Ukrainian manufacturers and sellers will be able to apply for participation in the program via the "Diia" portal and register the list of products they offer. The service is expected to be fully operational by September.
"From the implementation perspective, this is quite a complex service that requires a lot of interactions between registries. However, for Ukrainians, it will be as straightforward as always — just a few clicks. It will be as easy as applying for the 'COVID thousand' or the payment for IDPs. No unnecessary visits to government institutions and banks," adds Mykhailo Fedorov.
