Microsoft has unveiled a new version of its signature Xbox wireless gaming headset, featuring several enhancements over the previous 2021 model.
The headset now includes Dolby Atmos spatial sound technology at no extra cost. Alongside Windows Sonic and DTS Headphone X, this allows for precise sound source localization in games: including gunfire, footsteps, and other crucial sound cues.
Additionally, the headset has been equipped with an upgraded microphone that automatically mutes and filters background noise, ensuring that conversations are clear without unwanted distractions. The flexible microphone arm features an LED indicator for activity.
Battery life has been extended from 15 to 20 hours compared to the earlier version. The headset supports fast charging, with 30 minutes of charging providing about four hours of use. However, a full charge still takes 3 hours.
The design remains unchanged, featuring an adjustable steel headband and soft leather and foam ear cushions. The color is black. Volume and game/chat balance controls, a power button, and a microphone switch are located on the ear cups. For additional adjustments, the Xbox Accessories app offers an equalizer, bass boost, auto mute, LED brightness settings, and microphone monitoring.
The headset supports Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity with PCs and mobile devices, while Qualcomm's S5 Gen 2 technology ensures minimal signal latency.
The price of the device is $110 (approximately 4550 UAH). Pre-orders are already available on the Xbox website.
