Huawei has officially unveiled its new smartphones, the nova 13 and nova 13 Pro. These mid-range devices come with unspecified chipsets, and the manufacturer has yet to disclose their full technical specifications.
Huawei nova 13
The Huawei nova 13 features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2412x1084 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 300 Hz, PWM dimming at 1440 Hz, and an integrated fingerprint sensor. Storage options are available in 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB variants.
The rear of the nova 13 houses a dual-camera system, consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor (f/1.9) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. On the front, there is a 60-megapixel camera for selfies.
The device is powered by a 5000 mAh battery and supports 100W fast charging. Its dimensions are 161.4×75.3×6.98 mm, and it weighs 195 g. The smartphone supports satellite communication, although this feature is currently only announced for mainland China. It operates on HarmonyOS 4.2.
Huawei nova 13 Pro
The Huawei nova 13 Pro features a slightly larger 6.76-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2776x1224 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and PWM dimming at 2160 Hz. The storage options are identical to those of the standard model.
In this version, a triple-camera setup is available. It includes a 50-megapixel main sensor (variable aperture f/1.4-f/4.0), a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The device is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance. Its dimensions are 163.4×74.9×7.82 mm, and it weighs 209 g. All other specifications remain the same as the base model.
The new Huawei nova 13 and nova 13 Pro are now available for pre-order in China, starting at $378 and $519, respectively.
