ZOTAC faced a scandal due to the leakage of clients' personal information. The reason was careless management of RMA files.

One of the first to draw attention to the problem was the author of the YouTube channel GamersNexus. He said that the problem arose from uploading important files to Google web servers. This made them available to anyone searching for "ZOTAC RMA" in a search engine. The files contained business invoices, product return requests, and clients' personal data.

A viewer of the GamersNexus channel noticed his RMA file in the search results. It contained detailed user information, invoice amounts, and other data. The business invoices revealed that ZOTAC was purchasing previous generation NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 video cards for $2400 each.

One of ZOTAC's partners expressed outrage: "If I can find my credit avizo on Google... what is this? How can you conduct business so carelessly?"

How to check if your data has leaked online

Owners of ZOTAC products should check if their personal information has been exposed. To do this, enter your name in a search engine followed by "site:zotacusa.com". The company is already working on resolving the issue and is asking clients to send personal documents via email.
