How to use the Galaxy Ring? Samsung advises to "ditch the magnets" and avoid lifting heavy weights from your pockets

Samsung recently unveiled its new wearable gadget – the Galaxy Ring smart ring. This device boasts a range of unique features, but it also requires special care and correct usage for optimal effectiveness.

One of the key features of the Galaxy Ring smart ring is its ability to count steps. However, this function may not work accurately if magnets are nearby. The company warns that holding a magnet or magnetic object in the same hand as the smart ring may negatively affect the step count accuracy.

Storing the Galaxy Ring also requires attention. If the smart ring is left in its case for an extended period, the rubber pads on the stand may leave light marks on the device's inner surface. While this does not impact functionality, it is a detail worth noting.

Samsung advises against wearing metal rings on the same or adjacent fingers as the Galaxy Ring smart ring. Furthermore, the manufacturer suggests removing the device before lifting or working with heavy and rigid objects to prevent damage.

Extra caution should be taken when using the smart ring during physical exercises. The company cautions against wearing the device while using gym equipment, especially when lifting weights.

Even with regular use, scratches and dents may appear on the surface of the smart ring. The manufacturer notes that such damage is not covered by warranty. To minimize the risk of damage, Samsung recommends wearing the Galaxy Ring on the non-dominant hand.
