Kia has announced the launch of its compact and affordable EV3 crossover in Europe. In addition to these advantages, it also boasts a leading range in its segment.
The EV3 is Kia's first compact electric crossover specifically designed for the market and is "ready for all journeys and lifestyles in Europe." According to Kia, the new electric vehicle has undergone "extensive testing" across various road types in Europe, including highways, urban streets, and winding roads.
The Kia EV3 is among the most efficient electric vehicles on the market, offering a range of up to 603 km. In urban environments, utilizing Kia's i-Pedal technology and regenerative braking system, it can achieve a range of up to 771 km.
The Kia EV3 is available in Europe with battery options of 58.3 kWh or 81.4 kWh. The electric vehicle supports fast charging (from 10% to 80%) in 29 minutes with the 58.3 kWh battery. The larger 81.4 kWh battery can reach 80% charge in 31 minutes.
Measuring 4300 mm in length, 1850 mm in width, and 1560 mm in height, the EV3 offers a "living room" style interior despite its compact size. It comes equipped with the latest software and connectivity technologies from Kia, including a new ccNC infotainment system. The system features two 12.3-inch displays for navigation and the driver, along with a 5.3-inch climate control screen for easy access in between.
Kia has reported that the EV3 is already available in Europe, starting at a price of €36,000 ($38,300).
In Korea, the EV3 starts at $30,700 (42.08 million KRW). With government subsidies, this model can be purchased for under $30,000 (39.95 million KRW).
Kia plans to ramp up production of the EV3 due to high demand for this affordable electric vehicle. In Europe, Kia aims to sell over 9,000 EV3 models as part of efforts to strengthen its market share in the region.
