Intel introduced Thunderbolt Share, a program to easily share files and peripherals across multiple PCs

Intel has introduced the Thunderbolt Share program, which allows for sharing screens, keyboards, mice, and files between different computers. The software uses Thunderbolt technology for fast connections.

It provides fast and efficient connection between PCs, allowing users to share screens, keyboards, mice, memory, and files. It is claimed that these devices and data transfer will be safe and convenient for users. Currently, it is advertised as providing PC-to-PC connection, meaning it should work on two devices simultaneously.

The program, which allows for using input devices, monitors, and files from another computer, supports a secure connection that is easy to establish and use. To work, the program must be installed on both computers. It is possible to use devices without direct connection to each other.

The question arises of whether Thunderbolt Share allows for using external graphics cards with support for this interface on another PC, but Intel does not provide an answer. Interesting scenarios of using the technology include connecting laptops to other devices and computers.

The technology will only work on devices with the company's license. Intel confirms the functionality of Thunderbolt Share on MSI, Razer, Kensington, Lenovo, Acer, Belkin, Plugable, and Promise Technology hardware. The software will be installed as an additional feature on licensed devices, the full list of which has not yet been disclosed.

Thunderbolt Share is compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and 5 technologies under Windows OS. The technology was first demonstrated at CES 2024.
