HONOR has unveiled the global version of its new foldable smartphone, the HONOR Magic V3. This model is marketed as the thinnest and one of the lightest in its category. To highlight this feature, HONOR collaborated with card-stacking master Brian Berg, who holds the Guinness World Record for the tallest card house at 54 stories, adorned by the Magic V3 on the rooftop.
The HONOR Magic V3 foldable smartphone features a 6.43-inch external display (2376×1060 pixels) and a 7.92-inch internal display (2344×2156 pixels), which transforms the smartphone into a tablet when unfolded. Both screens are based on OLED technology and support a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, complemented by 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. It boasts a 5150 mAh battery that supports fast wired charging at 66 W and fast wireless charging at 50 W.
The Magic V3 features a triple camera system, including a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor. The device supports up to 100x digital zoom, 8K photo capture, and 4K video recording. Its dimensions are 74.0-145.3 mm in width, 156.6 mm in length, and 4.35-9.2 mm in thickness, with a weight ranging from 226 to 230 g. In comparison, competing foldable smartphones are slightly larger and heavier: the Galaxy Fold 6 (12.1 mm, 239 g) and Pixel 9 Pro Fold (10.5 mm, 257 g). The device will be available in reddish-brown, green, and black colors.
The price of the HONOR Magic V3 for the European market is €1999.
