In September 2024, Ukraine saw the registration of over 5,700 diesel vehicles. This marks a 26% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Out of these, 1,500 units were new, representing 26% of the total (compared to 22% in September 2023). Additionally, the number of new diesel vehicles was 16% higher than the previous year.
Used vehicles accounted for 4,300 units or 74%. This segment experienced a significant drop in registrations, falling by 34%.
Among the imported used cars, diesel models made up 25%, which is a 6 percentage point decrease from last year. The average age of these vehicles is 10.4 years.

- TOYOTA Hilux — 148 units;
- VOLKSWAGEN Touareg — 100 units;
- SKODA Kodiaq — 81 units;
- MITSUBISHI L200 — 69 units.
TOP-5 models of used diesel passenger cars:
- RENAULT Megane — 413 units;
- SKODA Octavia — 324 units;
- VOLKSWAGEN Passat — 279 units;
- NISSAN Qashqai — 226 units;
- VOLKSWAGEN Golf — 169 units.
