The studio Firaxis Entertainment has revealed three levels of system requirements for Civilization VII: low, medium, and high. To play on low settings at a resolution of 1080p, a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050, AMD Radeon RX 460, or Intel Arc A380 graphics card is sufficient.

For maximum settings and 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, the developers recommend using more powerful graphics cards. Firaxis suggests having a GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT for optimal graphics quality.

The release of Sid Meier's Civilization VII is scheduled for February 11, 2025. The game will be available on PC (Windows, macOS, Linux) as well as on consoles including Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

Recently, Firaxis disclosed the first details about the civilizations in Civilization 7. Players will be able to manage seven states, including Aksum, Egypt, Greece, the Maya Empire, the Mauryan Empire, the Roman Empire, and the Shawnee tribe. The developers will cover not only antiquity but also the Age of Exploration, although the latter will be available in a paid DLC. Firaxis also hinted at the future addition of many other civilizations.
