The Chinese car manufacturer Changan has announced that the Qiyuan E07 will be available for purchase on October 21. It will be introduced to international markets under the name Nevo E07.
The Changan Nevo E07 is built on the Changan SDA architecture. It combines design elements of both an SUV and a pickup truck. The new model is offered in a purely electric version and an extended-range variant. It features a closed front grille, C-shaped LED headlights, and rear lights connected by a common light strip. Its dimensions are 5045 mm in length, 1996 mm in width, and a height ranging from 1640 mm to 1695 mm, depending on the variant. The wheelbase measures 3120 mm. The manufacturer offers 20- and 21-inch wheels for this model.
The interior of the Nevo E07 adopts a minimalist approach, replacing the traditional dashboard with a massive 28.86-inch AR-HUD (augmented reality head-up display) and a 15.4-inch central control screen. Other features include a retractable tailgate that allows the vehicle to switch between SUV and pickup modes with a payload capacity of 300 kg.
The EREV version is equipped with a rear electric motor producing 231 kW (310 hp) and complemented by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine designed to extend the range. There is also an all-wheel-drive version with an additional front motor rated at 131 kW (176 hp), providing a total power output of 362 kW. The battery capacity is 39.05 kWh, allowing for an electric range of 200 km for the single-motor version and 185 km for the dual-motor version.
The Changan Nevo E07 electric vehicle features more powerful motors: 252 kW for the single-motor configuration and an additional front motor rated at 188 kW in the all-wheel-drive setup. Depending on the model, the vehicle's range varies from 551 km to 1000 km. The car is equipped with an 800 V high-voltage charging system that can extend the range by 365 km in just 15 minutes of charging.
Advanced driver assistance systems come standard. The E07 includes 2 lidars, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 cameras. Data from all these sensors is processed by a system based on the NVIDIA Orin-X chip. The vehicle supports Level 2+ autonomous driving capabilities. It also integrates satellite communication technology.
The Changan Nevo E07 is available in several trim levels:
- EREV Max Smart Driving — starting at $35,100.
- EV Max Smart Driving — starting at $37,900.
- EV Ultra High-Performance — $44,900.
