User X (Twitter) under the nickname j0nathan, known for accurate predictions regarding the Assassin's Creed series, has revealed new information about the upcoming game Assassin's Creed Invictus.

According to the insider, Invictus will be a multiplayer game inspired by the popular title Fall GuysA competitive multiplayer video game developed by the British studio Mediatonic and published by Devolver Digital. The game launched on August 4, 2020, on PC and PlayStation 4.]. Players will control characters from different parts of the Assassin's Creed franchise and compete against each other in several rounds.

The gameplay of Invictus allows for 16 players participating in various “games.” Mentioned modes include “team deathmatch,” “free-for-all,” and “speed competition for gathering light points on the map.” After each round, participants will be able to choose special abilities for the final stage.

j0nathan confirmed the inclusion of two characters in the game: Ezio Auditore and Cesare Borgia. He describes the gameplay as arcade-style, featuring “attacks without real impact” and even a “bubbly” shield reminiscent of what is seen in the Super Smash Bros. series.

Locations in Invictus will be based on familiar settings from the Assassin's Creed series. Players will be able to visit Baghdad from Assassin's Creed Mirage, Japan from Assassin's Creed Shadows, and a paradise island presumably inspired by Black Flag. A map based on Pompeii with an element of rising lava is also mentioned.

Moderators of the Reddit forum dedicated to the Assassin's Creed series urge caution regarding this information. They confirm that j0nathan has previously provided accurate data but warn that this information may be outdated or incomplete.

It is important to note that Ubisoft has not officially confirmed any details regarding Assassin's Creed Invictus.

Recently, the gaming community noticed unusual activity in the comments under the new trailer for Assassin's Creed Shadows. Users suspected Ubisoft of artificially inflating the number of positive reviews.
