Anker has introduced a new portable charging station, the Solix C300 DC, featuring capabilities that the company hasn't offered in this category before.
Although the Anker Solix C300 DC can only be charged via a solar panel or its bi-directional 140W USB-C ports, users can now simultaneously charge the station using both USB-C ports for the first time. This boosts the charging power (and speed) to 280W.
The charging station is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery with a capacity of 90,000 mAh (288 Wh) and provides a total output power of up to 300W. Anker markets this unit as one of the smallest portable versions, weighing just 2.8 kg. It can be conveniently carried in a backpack or on the shoulder with an optional strap.
External devices can be charged through seven different ports. These include two USB-A ports, four USB-C ports (one 15W port, one 100W port, and two 140W ports), and a 120W auxiliary port compatible with DC plugs for accessories such as coolers.
The built-in display shows the power consumption of connected devices and the remaining battery life. This information is also accessible via the Anker mobile app when the station is connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth. The top of the charging station features an integrated pull-out LED flashlight with three brightness levels, which can function as a regular or emergency light.
Anker has also announced a version of the charging station that supports AC power – the Solix C300 AC. Despite the similar names, this version is heavier and offers up to 600W of output power. It is equipped with a 120W auxiliary socket, one USB-A port, and three USB-C ports (two of which provide 140W output). This model features three AC sockets (or two AC sockets in the UK). Instead of a pull-out flashlight, it comes with a carrying handle. The Solix C300 AC version cannot be charged using both USB-C ports simultaneously; it can be plugged directly into a wall outlet for comparable charging speed.
The Anker Solix C300 DC and Solix C300 AC charging stations will be available for purchase starting August 28, priced at $199.99 and $249.99, respectively. Customers who pre-order by August 27 can enjoy discounts, with prices set at $149.99 and $189.99, respectively.
