Insider billbil-kun, known for several confirmed leaks, shared an image of the upcoming PS5 Pro — he hand-drew it based on the retail box, the photo of which he could not publish to avoid copyright infringement.
Tom Warren from The Verge writes that the released image resembles the PS5 Slim (a somewhat “bulkier version”) and seems to lack a disc drive — however, removable drives for the PS5 are already available, so Sony may have intentionally chosen to forgo it in favor of a lower price.
Preliminary rumors suggest that the PS5 Pro announcement will take place next month (billbil-kun also confirmed the date in his report), with the console's price expected to reach $600-$700.
The console is also rumored to feature a GPU based on AMD RDNA3 architecture, offering a 60% performance boost and scaling to 4K at 30 frames per second.
