Alkahest is a new fantasy adventure RPG with an open world from the first person developer Push On, visually reminiscent of The Witcher and Gothic, and which the developer calls a spiritual successor to Dark Messiah of Might & Magic with references also to Dishonored and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Players engage in melee combat, shoot bows, use bombs, fight monsters, explore realistic medieval-themed locations, study alchemy, and more. The trailer showcases impressive graphic design and combat mechanics for genre enthusiasts. The description on Steam tells:

"As the sun rises over the kingdom of Kadanor, it casts long shadows. Explore a world mired in feudal turmoil, where the balance of power between three great houses is fragile. As a minor lord's younger son, you are not a hero. And to become one, you will have to prove your worth in sweat and blood. Investigating unusual goblin raids on the county border may be the chance you've been waiting for. Explore castles, forests, villages, and other realistic locations, meeting their inhabitants and making interesting decisions during your journey."

Interestingly, Alkahest promises dynamic combat with a focus on the interactive environment. This means combinations of attacks with world elements. Play On provides an example: "Drop a tree on [the enemy's] head, push them off a cliff, set them on fire." Alkahest alchemy can help ignite something, which enhances combat, not magic. You can follow recipes or create your own throws, drinks, weapon lubricants, and traps. The game supports stealth or combat walkthrough.

Alkahest is being developed for PC, with Ukrainian text localization mentioned, release dates are not available yet.
