IGN website shared a video of ten minutes of gameplay of Star Wars Outlaws. It includes cutscenes, battles, quests, and other gameplay elements.
The events, like in earlier videos, take place on the desert planet Tatooine, known from the classic trilogy of "Star Wars" movies. During a quest, the game's heroine, Kay, pays tribute to the classics by falling into the Sarlacc pit.
Star Wars Outlaws chronologically takes place between the events of "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi." The game will feature various planets - not just Tatooine, but also other iconic and completely unknown locations.
Kay Vess, an adventurer and smuggler, evolves, seeking freedom and the means to start a new life. Players will find her companion Nix alongside Vess. Players will fight, steal, and pave their way through the criminal syndicates of the Galaxy. The game supports Ray Tracing and DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction. Ubisoft and NVIDIA have not yet shared more detailed information about these effects.
However, many viewers of the video did not perceive it well and left criticism. They complain about the unrealistic behavior of enemies - they do not notice shouts, shots, and explosions. The quest with the Sarlacc turned out to be regular wandering through a cave instead of an exciting adventure. They also pointed out the apparent not-so-great state of the game, freezes, outdated scenes, explosion effects, and the like. Some find the game world empty and monotonous, also stating that from the many unknown worlds of the Galaxy, viewers once again only see the desert planet Tatooine.
