Over 40 previously available games have transitioned to the Game Pass Ultimate tier.
Microsoft has introduced a new tier called Xbox Game Pass Standard, which replaces the former Xbox Game Pass for Console. The price for the new tier is set at $14.99 per month. However, according to Eurogamer's report, subscribers to the Standard tier will lose access to new releases on their launch day, as well as to some of the most popular games that were previously part of the Game Pass catalog.
Among the most notable games missing from the new tier are Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Diablo 4, Starfield, and Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. Additionally, lesser-known yet intriguing titles like Still Wakes the Deep, Another Crab's Treasure, Botany Manor, and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn have also been removed from the catalog. You can compare the available games across different tiers on the Game Pass page. The Standard tier provides access to 370 games, while the Ultimate tier has 508.
Moreover, the new Standard tier lacks EA Play support, meaning players lose access to the collection from this popular publisher.
Microsoft has clarified that new releases might appear in the Standard tier "12 months or more" after launching on Game Pass Ultimate.
It's also worth noting that the maximum subscription period is now 13 months. The updated list of Game Pass tiers with new pricing is as follows:
- Xbox Game Pass Core: $9.99 per month, with over 25 games, online gaming capabilities, and special promotions/discounts
- Xbox Game Pass Standard: $14.99 per month, featuring hundreds of games, online gaming, and special offers and discounts
- PC Game Pass: 230 UAH per month, with hundreds of games, day-one releases, EA Play, and special offers and discounts
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: $19.99 per month, offering hundreds of games, day-one releases, EA Play, online gaming, plus promotions, discounts, and more.
It is important to remember that Xbox has blocked the purchase of games for Ukrainians via Turkey.
