Renowned insider Digital Chat Station has shared some details about the upcoming Vivo X200 series smartphones. The most intriguing among them is the Vivo X200 Ultra, which will feature a remarkable four-camera setup, including a 200-megapixel periscope module.
According to Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X200 Ultra will boast a camera configuration of "50 MP + 50 MP + 50 MP + 200 MP". Notably, the 200-megapixel sensor will be specifically used in the periscope module. In comparison, the previous X100 Ultra model had a main camera unit comprising three modules.
The main camera module of the Vivo X200 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel sensor and a "fixed wide aperture". The insider did not specify which other 50-megapixel modules will be included in the smartphone. It can be anticipated that these will likely include ultra-wide and telephoto modules, with one probably also supporting macro photography.
Digital Chat Station also mentioned that the Vivo X200 Ultra smartphone will be equipped with an SM8750 processor. This is the codename for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip. All other models in the lineup are rumored to feature the Dimensity 9400 processor.
In a separate post, the insider also revealed information about the battery capacities of the X200 series smartphones (excluding the flagship Ultra version):
- Vivo X200 Pro — 6000 mAh;
- Vivo X200 — 5800 mAh;
- Vivo X200 Mini — 5700 mAh.
The official presentation of the Vivo X200 series smartphones is expected to take place on October 14. Initially, the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro models will be released, while the Ultra version is set to join the series in early 2025.
