During the Made by Google 2024 event, the Pixel Watch 3 smartwatches were unveiled in 41mm and 45mm sizes. Both versions feature larger displays compared to the Pixel Watch 2, partially due to a 16% reduction in bezel size.

The watch display has become brighter, with peak brightness increased from 1000 nits to 2000 nits, making it much more visible in daylight. The AMOLED display boasts a pixel density of 320 ppi and a refresh rate of up to 60 Hz.

The processor remains unchanged from last year's model, utilizing the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 5100 paired with a Cortex M33 coprocessor. The 41mm model has a battery capacity of 306 mAh, while the 45mm version comes with a 420 mAh battery. Google claims 24 hours of battery life with the display on (in comparison, the Apple Watch offers 18 hours). In Battery Saver mode, the runtime extends to 36 hours.

The latest iteration of Wear OS 5 brings a variety of new software features to the watches. These include alerts for Nest Cam and doorbell cameras, a remote control for Google TV, phone camera control for Pixel devices, a call log, note-taking via Pixel Recorder, Google Maps integration, Google Wallet, as well as enhanced fitness functions, particularly running modes.

The 41mm Pixel Watch 3 is priced at $350 for the Wi-Fi model and $450 for the LTE variant. The 45mm version is available for $400 and $500, respectively.
