New renders of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE reveal nearly all sides of the device (except the top and bottom). The foldable Galaxy Fold Special Edition is shown opened from the back, allowing a closer look at the cameras, buttons, and thickness.
The Galaxy S24 FE comes in graphite, blue, green, and yellow hues. It seems that white/silver is absent, as recent leaks indicate it won't be available. The most significant change from the Galaxy S23 FE is the flat frame. The smartphone features a flat display with a centered camera hole. The bezels are relatively thin, measuring only 1.99 mm. It is unclear whether they will all be of the same thickness, although the bottom bezel appears slightly thicker. The phone's frame is made of aluminum, while the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+.
On the rear side, there are three vertically aligned cameras in the top left corner. They protrude directly from the back panel, without a distinct island. The back is finished in glass and is also flat. The power and volume buttons are located on the right side.
The new Galaxy FE will feature a 6.7″ FullHD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The peak brightness will reach 1900 nits. The primary camera boasts 50 MP, accompanied by a 12 MP ultra-wide camera and an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The smartphone will support Galaxy AI smart features.
The device will support wired charging at 25W and wireless charging at 15W. Its predecessor was released in early October, so a similar timeline is expected. Confirmed sources indicate that the smartphone will be named Galaxy S24 FE.
The third foldable smartphone from Samsung in 2024, the Galaxy Fold Special Edition, has made its debut in images. This anticipated slimmer version of the Galaxy Fold6 was previously referred to as the Galaxy Fold6 Slim or Galaxy Fold6 Ultra. The image clearly shows its reduced thickness.
The phone will also feature a flat frame with slightly rounded corners. It includes a camera island with three cameras, although it differs slightly, appearing less round and somewhat thicker. The rear panel seems to be made of matte metal. It is uncertain, but it might actually be glass with a different coating underneath. Additionally, it remains unknown if black will be the only color. The power button on the right side will function as a fingerprint scanner, and the volume buttons are positioned above it.
The Galaxy Fold Special Edition will have a thickness of 10.6 mm when folded and 4.9 mm when opened. The phone will feature a 200 MP primary camera. The main display measures 8″ diagonally, while the secondary display is 6.5″. Thus, both screens are slightly larger than those on the Samsung Galaxy Fold6.
It is anticipated that the Samsung Galaxy Fold Special Edition will not be widely available. Likely, it will only be released in China and South Korea. The launch date is still unknown but is expected to occur in 2024.
