Insider Ice Universe has shared information about the upcoming Apple iPhone SE 4. According to him, the device will receive several significant updates compared to the current model.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to feature a Face ID biometric identification system and a USB-C wired connection interface. This will set the new model apart from the current generation, which includes a Touch ID sensor in the Home button and a proprietary Lightning port. Apple is gradually phasing out the Lightning connector in favor of the universal USB-C solution, and these changes will soon extend to the budget smartphone version.
The new Apple iPhone SE 4 will be larger. Reports indicate that the device's display will increase from 4.7 inches to 6.06 inches and will for the first time include an OLED panel. It is expected that the fourth-generation iPhone SE will also feature the A18 processor, similar to the iPhone 16 lineup, as well as 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Among other features, Apple’s next budget smartphone is rumored to have an aluminum body and a single rear camera based on a 48-megapixel sensor.
Apple is anticipated to launch the iPhone SE 4 next year, likely between March and May. Its price is expected to range from $499 to $549, significantly higher than the current version of the iPhone SE, which was introduced in March 2022, starting at $429.
