Abarth, the Fiat division, has unveiled the electric 600e, which has become the most powerful Abarth in the brand's history. It features an electric motor delivering up to 280 hp and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.85 seconds.

The Abarth 600e was developed in collaboration with engineers from Stellantis Motorsport and is based on the Perfo eCMP platform. This "pocket rocket" is available in two versions: the sporty Turismo variant and a limited edition Scorpionissima. The latter boasts a powerful 280 hp engine, while the Turismo version offers 240 hp. The Scorpionissima edition includes distinctive design elements such as glossy black accents, special stickers, and colorful brake calipers. Production of the Scorpionissima is limited to 1,949 units, commemorating the year Abarth was founded.

The company emphasizes that the 600e was tested on racetracks to ensure the high performance expected by Abarth fans. Engineers have integrated a high-performance electric motor, refined on a Formula E test bench, along with a JTEKT Torsen differential, sport brakes, and racing-inspired tires.

The battery cooling system is a crucial part of the performance package, maximizing power during dynamic driving. Drivers can choose from three driving modes: Turismo, Scorpion Street, and Scorpion Track. The Turismo mode is designed for efficiency, while the Scorpion Track mode unleashes the full power of the electric motor, allowing the Scorpionissima version to reach a top speed of 200 km/h.

The front features a large air intake reminiscent of the Abarth 850 TC, while the rear stands out with a large spoiler and diffuser to enhance aerodynamics. The Abarth 600e comes equipped with 20-inch aluminum wheels.

The interior includes a leather and Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and for the Scorpionissima version, Sabelt racing seats. Both versions are equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment display that shows real-time data such as torque and G-forces.

Both models, Turismo and Scorpionissima, feature adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and an autonomous emergency braking system. The Scorpionissima is also equipped with a surround-view camera system, traffic sign recognition, and Level 2 driving assistance features. The Abarth 600e includes integration with ChatGPT for natural conversation and personalized information retrieval.

The Abarth 600e electric car is now available for order in Europe, starting at €42,950 for the Turismo version and €48,950 for the Scorpionissima.
