Zeekr (the premium brand of Geely) is set to launch the electric SUV 7X in Europe. It is built on the 800-volt SEA platform, which is shared with several other offerings from the group.
The Zeekr 7X measures 4826 mm in length and 1930 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2946 mm. The vehicle is available in a two-row configuration, providing a spacious trunk with a volume of 615 liters. There are 32 compartments designed for passenger belongings.
So far, Zeekr has not disclosed official power figures. However, the company claims that the electric SUV 7X can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds in its most powerful variant. It is likely that it borrows the dual-powertrain producing 637 hp from the three-row Zeekr 007. The 7X sedan comes in a rear-wheel-drive single-motor variant with an output of 416 hp.
The vehicle is offered with battery options of 75 kWh or 100 kWh. The smaller battery can recharge from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes, while the larger battery requires 15 minutes for the same charge. The 7X is stated to have a range of 605 km or 780 km (certified by CLTC), depending on the battery capacity.
It is likely that only the 100 kWh battery configuration will be available in Europe. However, the WLTP-certified range will be significantly lower, probably around 500 km.
The 7X's ADAS systems utilize a combination of lidar, high-definition cameras, and millimeter-wave radar, with collected data processed by a pair of Nvidia Orin-X modules equipped with AI designed specifically for semi-autonomous driving. The infotainment system operates on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, one of the most powerful and advanced in the industry.
Zeekr plans to begin sales of the Zeekr 7X electric SUV in China this month, with exports to Europe starting in 2025. The Smart #5 is built on the same SEA platform as the 7X, featuring the same 100 kWh battery, and will also arrive in Europe next year.
