The Mal'opus publishing house is currently working on the Ukrainian translation of the book "Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment," written by Bloomberg gaming journalist Jason Schreier.
"Play Nice" details the history of Blizzard from its founding in 1991 up to the present day, during Microsoft's acquisition. In various interviews, the journalist has already shared intriguing stories, particularly regarding the developers' desire to create a new RTS in the Starcraft or Warcraft universe and the resistance they faced from management.
Excited to announce that my next book is PLAY NICE: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment. It chronicles the 33-year history of one of gaming's most fascinating companies, and it'll be out on October 8. Preorder here: https://t.co/sdo1ZJWia7pic.twitter.com/BmSLEpVfg4

The book will be released in the United States on October 8, while the Ukrainian release is scheduled for 2025.
This isn't the first time Schreier's works have been published in Ukraine and in Ukrainian: in 2020, BookChef released "Blood, Sweat, and Pixels: The Other Side of Video Game Creation," and last year, Mal'opus published "Press Reset: Ruin and Recovery in the Video Game Industry" — you can find a review of it linked below:
