The global ranking of the best-selling cars for the first eight months of 2024 is topped by an electric vehicle. This is evidenced by a report from the focus2move resource, based on sales data from 162 countries.
It is noted that despite the challenges of replacing traditional diesel and gasoline models, new electric vehicles are gradually taking leading positions. The automotive industry is increasingly moving towards electrification, with new electric models gaining traction in the global TOP 100 rankings.
The Tesla Model Y has maintained its leadership in the market over the first eight months of 2024. Following it are the Toyota Corolla and Toyota RAV4. Details are provided in the table below.
