Sony has unveiled its new gaming console, the PS5 Pro, but the announcement has sparked a wave of criticism due to its high price and lack of significant enhancements.

The company has set the price at $700 for the American market and €800 for Europe. However, the response from users to this announcement has been predominantly negative.

The trailer for the new console on YouTube garnered 154,000 dislikes compared to 51,000 likes, indicating considerable dissatisfaction among the audience. Social media users are actively expressing their disappointment regarding the device's steep price.

Criticism has been directed not only at the price but also at the PS5 Pro's package. The console will be shipped without an optical disc drive and a vertical stand, which were previously included in the standard bundle. Many perceived this decision by Sony as an attempt to make extra profits by selling these components separately.

The console presentation, conducted by Mark Cerny, also failed to leave a positive impression on viewers. Users expressed their discontent that Sony showcased the capabilities of the PS5 Pro using games that were released for the PS4. This raised doubts about the real advantages of the new console over previous models.

Many viewers could not notice any significant difference in graphical quality between the PS5 and PS5 Pro. This called into question the justification for such a considerable price increase for, in the users' view, minor upgrades.
