Apple has announced the seventh generation of the iPad mini, which features a more powerful processor and enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities.

The device now utilizes the more advanced A17 Pro chip, the same one found in the iPhone 15 Pro, replacing the A15 Bionic. This upgrade enables support for Apple Intelligence technologies, including an improved voice assistant Siri, as well as tools for text composition and image creation.

The iPad mini 7 comes with an 8.3-inch IPS display boasting a resolution of 2266×1488 pixels. Unfortunately, the refresh rate remains modest at 60 Hz.

The new model supports the Apple Pencil Pro stylus, enhancing creative and productivity options. Additionally, the tablet features a 12-megapixel rear camera with Smart HDR 4 support, a fingerprint sensor integrated into the side button, and a USB-C port.

The iPad mini 7 will be available for purchase starting October 23, with the base model priced at $499 for 128 GB of storage.
