Along with the announcement of the PS5 Pro in September, Sony revealed that it would be selling refurbished PS5 units — and they are now available for purchase at the official PlayStation Direct store.
The console with a disc drive is priced at $400, while the digital version costs $350. Each comes with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Refurbished PS5 units will come with all necessary accessories, cables, and instructions, and the box will be labeled “certified refurbished.” It is noted that the consoles may have “minor cosmetic imperfections,” but they are thoroughly “cleaned” and tested beforehand for their new owners.
Refurbished DualSense controllers are also on sale for $60-65.
It’s worth mentioning that the price of the new PS5 Pro reaches $700 (or €800 in Europe) and is already available for pre-order in many countries. In Ukraine, pre-orders are rumored to start as early as tomorrow, October 10, while deliveries to customers are likely to begin simultaneously with the global launch on November 7 (at least this date is indicated by some official Ukrainian retailers on their websites, while our sources suggest that sales in Ukraine may commence on November 10).
The PS5 Pro will feature a more powerful graphics processor, advanced ray tracing, and AI upscaling (Sony has also announced that “approximately 40-50 games” will receive updates for the PS5 Pro at launch), but it will not come with a disc drive. Additionally, in celebration of the brand’s 30th anniversary, Sony has released a limited edition of consoles and accessories — some of which may also reach the Ukrainian market (besides the PS5 PRO 30th Anniversary Limited Edition).
