Initially, Concord was sold at a retail price of $39.99, but following the closure of the heroic shooter, the prices for "sealed" copies skyrocketed significantly.
PlayStation and Firewalk Studios announced the shutdown of Concord just two weeks after its launch, citing negative reviews and extremely low popularity, peaking at 697 simultaneous players.
The servers for Concord will be shut down tomorrow, September 6, while players who purchased the game digitally for PlayStation 5 or PC will receive a full refund. Owners of physical copies were advised to contact retailers for refunds, although some decided to take advantage of the situation by selling the game as a sort of exclusive item.
Currently, physical editions of Concord are listed on eBay at exorbitant prices, considering the original retail price of $39.99. An article from playstationlifestyle checked the search results on the store for “Concord PS5” and found about 59 listings. Most copies are being sold for $100-200, while one particularly audacious seller has listed it for $25,000.
The price of the Concord PS5 DualSense themed controller has also surged, rising from $160 to $400.
