Microsoft has introduced new devices Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6. They have the same design as previous models, but now support artificial intelligence features thanks to the new Intel Core Ultra processors. These novelties are oriented for use in the business sector. Surface Pro 10 and Laptop 6 are equipped with a new Copilot key.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 10 tablet is equipped with Intel Core Ultra 5 135U or Ultra 7 165U processor, up to 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM and SSD up to 1TB. Microsoft has installed a new 1440p resolution webcam with a wide 114-degree viewing angle. It can use Windows Studio effects with NPU Core Ultra for AI workloads.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop 6 is available in two versions with 13.5 and 15-inch displays. They can be equipped with more powerful Intel Core Ultra 5 135H and Ultra 7 165H processors. The configuration can also include up to 64GB of RAM and a storage capacity of up to 1TB. The model with 8GB of RAM has regular Intel graphics, while configurations with more memory have a more powerful Intel Arc graphics core. Surface Laptop 6 has a built-in smart card reader, but still does not have an SD card slot. The laptop did not receive an improved camera available in the tablet and is limited to a standard 1080p resolution camera.
Microsoft claims that the Surface Pro 10 is 53% faster than the Pro 9 in the 3DMark TimeSpy test, while the Surface Laptop 6 is twice as fast as the previous model. This is mostly due to the more powerful Intel Arc graphics.
Both new systems are labeled "for business." Therefore, they will not be available for purchase in regular stores. They can only be purchased on the Microsoft website or from authorized retailers. Interested users can already pre-order the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 for Business starting from $1200 each. They will be available to customers on April 9.
Furthermore, Microsoft has released a new Surface Pro Keyboard with improved keys. They have thicker labels (bold font) and brighter backlighting. All of this should make reading from the keyboard easier and reduce eye strain. This keyboard will only be available in English and exclusively in the USA and Canada.
Like other new Windows keyboards, this one has a special Copilot key. The AI chatbot will allow users to enable accessibility features without having to search through menus to find the option. You can ask Copilot to "turn on live subtitles" or "turn on the magnifier," and it will perform the action for the user.
