It is expected that on July 10, 2024, Samsung will release its lineup of next-generation foldable smartphones. It will include at least 2 devices: Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
According to available information, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It is now known that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 model will also be equipped with the same chipset. This is indicated by the results of testing the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (model number SM-F956U) in the Geekbench benchmark. The corresponding results page also states that this device will have 12GB of RAM. It also mentions the Android 14 operating system, possibly complemented by the One UI 6.1.1 interface.
As for the benchmark results of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 in Geekbench, the device scored 1964 points in single-core mode and 6619 points in multi-core mode. For comparison, the previous model Galaxy Z Fold 5 with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor scored 1943 and 5123 points in the respective tests.
Therefore, the future model offers a slight improvement in single-core processor performance compared to the existing version and a significant improvement in multi-core performance. With this in mind, it can be expected that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will operate much faster in tasks that heavily utilize the processor.
It is also hoped that Samsung will release a version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with 16GB of RAM.
