Warhorse has officially confirmed that the sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance will not feature any DRMDRM (Digital Rights Management) is a technology for protecting digital content, used to control the use, modification, and distribution of copyrighted materials..
Last month, Steam forums for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II were flooded with negative comments criticizing the upcoming game and its developers for their alleged plans to release the long-awaited sequel with Denuvo—a controversial DRM technology that complicates piracy but may hinder game performance.
Rumors arose when Vernon W., a customer support representative for Plaion (the parent company of KCD2 developer Warhorse and publisher Deep Silver), allegedly confirmed that the game would include Denuvo.

However, during a recent two-hour Twitch stream showcasing gameplay and performance of KCD2, Warhorse Studios' PR manager Tobias Stoltz-Zwilling, also known as Sir Tobi, confirmed that the game will launch on PC without DRM, urging the community to "bury this issue and never speak of it again." He also encouraged fans to wait for official announcements from Warhorse if such a situation arises, asserting that all rumors should be considered false until confirmed by the developers.
“Of course, there were some discussions, some inconsistencies, there was misinformation, but ultimately there will be no Denuvo, and I would like to close the matter on that,” Sir Tobi said during the stream. “This is what you really need to remember: as long as Warhorse hasn’t announced anything, it's not true. This was the case with the KCD2 announcement, it would be the same with the specifications, and so it is with DRM as of now.”
Let’s not forget, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is set to release on February 11, 2025, for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
