Billionaire Elon Musk, who officially has 12 children with several different women, has set his sights on "impregnating" last year's pop sensation, singer Taylor Swift.
Musk's statement comes against the backdrop of the unfolding electoral race in the U.S. and debates between the main candidates — Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. Swift officially endorsed Harris yesterday, stating that "Harris fights for rights and could be the warrior who defends them." In her Instagram post, the singer described herself as a "childless woman with a cat" — a reference to the mocking words of Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk, known for his support of Trump, quickly responded to Swift's comment on Twitter, claiming he could easily strip her of her "childless" status:
"Alright, Taylor, you win. I'll give you a baby and take care of your cats."
In reality, Musk's words come across as misogynistic and resemble a threat, as several commentators immediately pointed out:
- "Elon is showing the world that he is a woman-hating pig," — responded the account of the international hacker group Anonymous.
- "That's creepy, dude, but we always knew you were creepy," — wrote another user.
Musk, who has long claimed that declining birth rates will be a primary cause of the downfall of human civilization, has 12 children (that we know of) with four women.
At the same time, the billionaire's desire to "impregnate" as many women as possible is not new, and he often reinforces this with his actions — last year, the New York Times reported that he donated his sperm to a SpaceX bank with the aim of creating a future Martian colony.
