Images have been posted on Reddit, allegedly showcasing the successor to the popular Nintendo Switch gaming console. The new model features a revamped design and improved specifications.
According to the leaked documents, the successor to the beloved console is equipped with a larger 8-inch display. An anonymous source familiar with Nintendo's plans confirmed to VGC that the leaked images align with the design the company has shared with its partners. However, there is currently no official confirmation.
According to information from the leak, the new version of the Switch will feature 12 GB of RAM (6GX2 dual-channel, LPDDR5X, 7500 MT/s). The built-in storage will be upgraded to 256 GB. The console will also support HDMI 2.1 for video output.
While the overall design of the controllers remains similar, developers made some modifications. Specifically, they updated the SL/SR buttons and added LED indicators on the front panel to indicate player status.
In May of this year, Nintendo officially confirmed that it will announce a new console before the end of the current financial year, which ends on March 31, 2025.
