According to the latest rumors, the next model of Pixel Watch 3 smartwatches may be released alongside the Pixel 9 series, bringing significant changes. The Pixel 9 smartphone series is expected to debut in October.
Insiders 91 Mobiles and OnLeaks present high-resolution renders that reveal the full design of the Watch 3 from various angles. Based on these images, the overall design of the Pixel Watch 3 appears similar to its predecessor, including the display format. The 1.2-inch display will have a round bezel-less look and a rotating crown on the side. The black color resembles the Obsidian Active model from the current Pixel Watch 2 lineup. According to the render, the watch is supposedly going to run on WearOS.
It is reported that the new smartwatches from Google may have slightly thinner bezels. At the same time, the Watch 3 will have a thicker chassis than its previous model, which can be attributed to the use of a larger capacity battery. Users will now be offered a 307 mAh battery instead of 304 mAh.
A noticeable difference in the Pixel Watch 3 from its predecessor is the transition from strap retainers to a clasp, which is intended to provide a better fit on the wrist. The sensors on the back panel remain the same, and the fastening mechanism for putting on and taking off the watch will also remain unchanged. Watch 3 will have a slight difference in size from Watch 2, as they will be relatively smaller with dimensions of 40.79×40.73×14 mm.
