The luxury brand BYD Denza is preparing for the global launch of the Z9 GT electric vehicle. This model will be available in both hybrid (PHEV) and fully electric (BEV) versions.

The plug-in hybrid version of the BYD Denza Z9 GT combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with three electric motors, producing a total power output of 640 kW (858 hp), making it one of the most powerful hybrids on the market. This configuration allows for a range of 1100 km, and when running solely on gasoline after the battery is depleted, it promises a fuel consumption of just 5.6 liters per 100 km. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds.

The fully electric version is even more powerful. Utilizing three motors, it delivers a total output of 710 kW (952 hp) and promises a range of 630 km. This version can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds.

The electric vehicle measures 5180 mm in length, 1990 mm in width, and has a wheelbase of 3125 mm. Interestingly, the PHEV model is slightly longer at 5195 mm due to larger bumpers. The car's design was crafted by designer Wolfgang Egger, giving it a bold front grille and an elegant rear light panel.

The interior features several digital displays on the dashboard and doors. A standout feature is the presence of two refrigerators— a smaller one for front passengers and a larger one in the rear, capable of holding up to four bottles of wine. Unfortunately, this luxury reduces the trunk space and limits the folding capability of the second-row seats.

Chinese customers can already place pre-orders for the BYD Denza Z9 GT in five different configurations, with deliveries starting at the end of September. Prices for the Z9 GT start at 339,800 yuan (approximately €43,030) and go up to 419,800 yuan (€53,200). The Z9 GT will also be launched in European markets.
