Porsche has announced its second electric vehicle in history (after Taycan), which is the Macan crossover, starting at $80,450 (in Ukraine - from 3,225,530 UAH). Two modifications are offered, called Macan 4 and Macan Turbo.
The new Macan will have a 100 kWh battery and 800V architecture for fast charging. Porsche claims that the Macan will be able to accept up to 270 kW during fast charging, and charging from 10 to 80% will take 21 minutes. The 800V battery is divided into two at 400-volt charging stations, providing efficient charging without an additional high-voltage power amplifier up to 135 kW. With household wall boxes, charging from an 11 kW AC power supply is possible.
During motion, the electric motors can recuperate up to 240 kW of energy. The Integrated Power Block (IPB) increases the efficiency of the new Macan models, saving weight and space. The IPB integrates three components: onboard AC charger, high-voltage heater, and DC/DC converter. The range in a mixed cycle according to WLTP is up to 613 km for the Macan 4 and up to 591 km for the Macan Turbo.
Macan 4, when using Launch Control, delivers power up to 300 kW (408 hp), while the Macan Turbo delivers up to 470 kW (639 hp). The torque reaches 650 and 1130 Nm respectively. The Macan 4 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, while the Macan Turbo does it in just 3.3 seconds. The maximum speed of both models is 220 and 260 km/h respectively.
Depending on the model and installed equipment, the capacity behind the rear seat is up to 540 liters. There is a "front trunk" under the hood of 84 liters. In total, this is 127 liters more than the previous models. Folding the rear seat completely increases the volume of the rear cargo compartment to 1348 liters.
In Ukraine, the new Macan is already available for order. The indicative cost in the Porsche dealer network starts from 3,225,530 hryvnias for the Macan 4 and from 4,414,970 hryvnias for the Macan Turbo.
