Over the past few years, the colorful stripes M from BMW have repeatedly adorned the phones of the niche device manufacturer Iqoo, for example, models 9 Pro and 12 Legend Edition. There was also an exclusive South Korean Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra M Edition, which also came in a special box.
This time, the BMW Group Designworks design team decided to collaborate with another brand - Infinix. It offers budget Android devices primarily for the regions of Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The new collaborative Infinix Note 40 Series Racing Edition was "designed like a racing car."
Ironically, BMW's division, best known for its BMW M racing cars, is not mentioned. However, you will find a small blue, purple, and red icon on the phone's camera bump.
The main contribution of BMW Group Designworks to the smartphone design is the Wings of Speed appearance, which includes enhanced UV transfer printing on the phone's back panel with tiny ribs that improve grip. It is reported that the Note 40 Series Racing Edition will be made from premium composite materials and will also have exclusive wallpapers and interface skin pre-installed out of the box.
From a technical standpoint, the Note 40 Series offers 5G support, a curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, magnetic charging, and support for 100W fast charging technology. There is also a 108-megapixel camera with an optical image stabilization system and JBL speakers. The manufacturer promises to release OS updates for up to 3 years to Android 16.
The price of the Infinix Note 40 5G Racing Edition starts at $225, while the top version Note 40 Pro+5G Racing Edition is priced at $350.
