Game Science studio has unveiled the final trailer for Black Myth: Wukong ahead of its official release on August 20. The developers emphasize that all gameplay footage was captured on a personal computer.
Black Myth: Wukong is a third-person game inspired by the classic Chinese novel "Journey to the West." Players will control the Monkey King, utilizing his unique abilities. The developers promise 72 different skills and numerous bosses for combat.
The game features a variety of enemies, each with their own strengths. As the Chosen One, players will be able to combine various staff techniques, spells, weapons, and gear to discover the optimal battle strategy. Based on what has been shown, the gameplay heavily relies on evading enemy attacks, resembling a mix of Sekiro and Dark Souls.
NVIDIA has announced that Black Myth: Wukong will feature full ray tracing support on PC, including global illumination, shadows, and reflections. The game will also support NVIDIA's DLSS 3.5 Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction technologies. There is currently no information regarding AMD FSR 3.0 support, but since the game is built on Unreal Engine 5, the developers may add it later.
In June 2024, Game Science revealed the official system requirements for the PC version of the game. The developers also confirmed the use of Denuvo protection technology.
