It's rare for Adobe to offer anything for free.
Adobe has opened free access to all features of the Fresco application for digital drawing and painting. The company has eliminated the freemium model it used since 2019. From now on, users will receive full access to over a thousand brushes and all premium features without a monthly subscription.
Fresco operates on devices running iOS, iPadOS, and Windows. The application supports Apple Pencil and Surface Pen, allowing for the creation of digital works with maximum precision and comfort.
The free version now includes an expanded library of tools. Adobe has added brushes for dry materials, calligraphy, charcoal, pastels, inks, comics, and special effects. Users can also import their own brushes.
Adobe has upgraded the application's specifications. Developers have added support for haptic feedback, tilt, and rotation features for Apple Pencil. A symmetry tool has been introduced for quickly creating complex compositions, along with a vector trimmer for cleaning up outlines.
Adobe's decision to make Fresco free will heighten competition with Procreate, the market leader in digital drawing applications.
Recall that recently, Adobe introduced a range of new AI-powered features for its Creative Cloud software during the annual Adobe Max conference.
