The Acer Predator Orion 7000 gaming PC has been announced. It is the first desktop computer to feature the Intel Core Ultra 200K processor (Arrow Lake-S).
Intel is expected to officially announce this desktop platform next month. Although the company hasn’t disclosed the architecture, this information is already available on the product page.
As a result, Arrow Lake-S will be the first desktop platform to include an integrated NPU. Previously, the Arrow Lake architecture was only found in laptops and embedded PCs.
The Predator Orion 7000 is also equipped with a Cyclone X 360 cooling system and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card. Despite the computer's purely gaming focus, Acer highlights its AI capabilities. The PC features Thunderbolt 4 and supports Wi-Fi speeds of up to 46 Gbps. With a hard drive of up to 4 TB and a PCIe M.2 NVMe SSD, the computer can accommodate installations of numerous games.
An interesting feature of this PC is the M.2 slot, which allows users to remove the storage drive without needing to access the motherboard. It is not yet clear how the slot is connected and functions.
Acer has not yet confirmed the pricing or the release date for the new PC. However, it is anticipated that Intel will launch Arrow Lake-S in mid-October, so the debut of the new system will likely follow shortly thereafter.
