The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE smartphone features an enlarged 6.7″ display, a 4700 mAh battery, and a new processor.
This time, the Galaxy FE series will not have regional differences in processors. The Galaxy S24 FE will be equipped with the Exynos 2400e chip worldwide. The previous year's S23 FE operates on either the Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Although Samsung has not disclosed specifics, the main Cortex-X4 core is expected to run at a lower clock speed. It is cooled by a newly designed vapor chamber that is 1.1 times larger.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE boasts a 6.7″ OLED display — 0.3″ larger than its predecessor. This offers a diagonal size equal to that of the S24+, featuring FHD+ resolution instead of QHD+. The display can operate at 120 Hz or 60 Hz and includes a Vision Booster function for bright sunny days. The phone includes 8 GB of RAM and storage options of 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB.
The phone is equipped with a 50 MP (f/1.8) camera, an 8 MP (f/2.4) telephoto module with 3x optical zoom, and a 12 MP ultra-wide 123° lens (f/2.2). The selfie camera uses a 10 MP sensor. The battery has indeed increased — now at 4700 mAh (+200 mAh compared to the S23 FE). However, the charging speed remains unchanged: wired charging at 25 W (0-50% in 30 minutes) and wireless at 15 W.
The Samsung S24 FE dimensions are 162.0 x 77.3 x 8.0 mm and it weighs 213 g. It is 4 mm taller, less than a millimeter wider, and marginally thinner than the S23 FE. The smartphone has gained 4 g compared to its predecessor. In comparison, the Galaxy S24+ is already lighter by 17 g thanks to its thin bezel, despite having a larger battery by 200 mAh. It supports wireless connections including 5G, Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), and Bluetooth 5.3. As before, the device features IP68 rated dust and water resistance.
The Galaxy S24 FE will come with Android 14 on OneUI 6.1 out of the box. Like the company’s flagship models, the phone will receive OS and security updates for up to 7 years. Pre-orders begin today, with the device available for purchase starting October 3rd. At the official Samsung store, the Galaxy S24 FE starts at 28,999 ₴. The phone will be available for order in blue, graphite, mint, and yellow colors starting October 11, 2024.
