ZOTAC has prepared to launch the compact portable gaming console ZOTAC GAMING ZONE. Essentially, it is a fully-fledged gaming PC in a pocket-sized form factor.

The ZOTAC GAMING ZONE features an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor. This chip includes computing cores based on the Zen 4 architecture and a GPU built on the RDNA 3 architecture. The processor allows for the launch of AAA games in native 1080p resolution. The system also comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 RAM and a full-sized 512 GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 solid-state drive. Additionally, it has a microSD UHS-II card slot.

The gaming console is equipped with a built-in 7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. The screen offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 800 nits. Surrounding the display are the familiar gameplay controls found on controllers: buttons, sticks, and adjustable triggers. On either side of the screen, there are two trackpads, allowing for gameplay without the need for a mouse. At the same time, two USB4 ports are available for connecting additional devices. Furthermore, wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, along with a front-facing webcam, a microphone, and a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button for secure authentication with Windows Hello. The device runs on Windows 11 Home OS.

ZOTAC will showcase the GAMING ZONE console at the Gamescom 2024 exhibition, which starts on August 21 in Cologne. Customers of the new product will receive a one-month trial subscription to XBOX Game Pass.
