The long-awaited game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl from the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World is attracting more attention several months before its release. According to Steam data, it currently ranks 5th among the most desired games on this service. The game Frostpunk 2 is one line above.
UPDATED: As of 11:00 on May 7, the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is already in 4th place. And with the language specified - in Ukrainian - even in second place.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a role-playing game in the genre of a first-person post-apocalyptic shooter with elements of survival horror and immersive sim. It is a continuation of the cult series of games S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and will be the fourth game in the series.
Developers reported that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is a non-linear story with a huge amount of content. The player's behavior will determine a specific direction, and the plot will expand greatly. Players will not be able to experience all the storylines at once because different narrative directions will be available. The main storyline lasts approximately 40 hours and has 4 possible endings. Side quests will also have different results depending on the player's choices, and some side quests will have a significant impact on the main storyline.
Recently, GSC Game World presented the Ukrainian trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which allows to evaluate the game locations and the quality of Ukrainian voice acting.
The release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornoby is planned for September 5, 2024. The game will be released exclusively on the next generation Microsoft Xbox Series X/S consoles, as well as on Windows PC.
